Itanza joined Performance Training Inc. full time in April 2011. As Business Manager, Itanza is responsible for maintaining a highly effective business environment at PTI. She ensures the office runs smoothly by staying on top of all office projects and client needs, managing deadlines and supporting our consulting team's effectiveness. She manages the contact database, tracks client projects and provides planning and logistical support for all company events. Itanza is also responsible for proactively implementing cost saving measures for the firm while maintaining harmonious relationships with all of PTI's professional service providers.
Itanza comes to PTI with 10 years' experience as Supervisor and Administrative Program Manager at two New York City-based Ivy League universities. She worked with Anthony Panos for eight years at Cornell University as Administrative Program Manager.
Prior to settling in the Northeast, Itanza pursued a career in theatrical performance, performing in over 30 productions in regional theaters across the country. She originated the role of Zawadi in the Festival of the Lion King at the Animal Kingdom theme park at Walt Disney World Resort in 1998, which led to an appearance on Live with Regis and Kathy Lee. Some of her favorite roles include Alice in Big River, Bloody Mary in South Pacific, Calpurnia in To Kill A Mockingbird, Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors, Nell Carter in Ain't Misbehavin' and Jewel in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
Her versatility as a performer has landed her roles in numerous ABC specials, including Disney's annual Christmas and Thanksgiving Day Parades, an October 2002 episode of As The World Turns, and spots in national television commercials for National Rental Car and McDonalds. In August of 2002 she co-produced and starred in a well-received Off-Broadway Cabaret show at the Duplex Cabaret Theater. Itanza holds a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from the University of Florida.
